Single & Double Sided UV Exposure Units With Vacuum,
Single Sided Exposure Units

For the ultimate in reproduction definition, a vacuum unit has to be the choice. Unlike other pressure pad units the FORTEX series of exposure units uses a vacuum to ensure the artwork and material to be exposed are held in perfect contact. When fine tracks are required on a PCB or detailed definition on a graphic reproduction, a vacuum unit should be chosen. The 0 - 999 second digital timer is then set via the touch membrane control panel and the start button pressed, this activates the integral vacuum pump, which removes the air from the chamber ensuring perfect contact between artwork and material to be exposed. Only when a vacuum has been achieved will the tubes activate and the exposure commence. When completed the vacuum pump is turned off and a valve automatically releases the vacuum allowing the lid to be raised. These units are manufactured from aluminium, but due to its larger size case the largest unit ( AY 380 ) is made of steel. All units come complete with an IEC socket and moulded 13-amp plu

Double Sided Exposure Units

A double-sided exposure unit is an essential tool for the production of double-sided PCBs. The ability to expose both sides of the board at once eliminates the immense problem of artwork registration for two separate exposures on a single sided unit. These units are similar to the single sided range that instead of a solid metal base, the lid closes onto a clear Perspex base, beneath which is located, another set of UV tubes. Also, in place of the optical filter above each tube the AZ units have a fibre optic connected to a display on the front of the units. This display panel gives a visual confirmation that each tube is working correctly during exposure. Like the single sided units these models have a 0 -999 digital timer and the cases are manufactured from aluminium but also due to its larger size the case unit ( AZ326 ) is made of steel. Both come complete with an IEC socket and moulded 13-amp plug.
